Margate City, home of Lucy the Elephant, the Margate Fall Funfest and great summer fun! This wonderful shore community is a family type community with lots of shops, restaurants, shore activities and of course beautiful beaches. Located about ten minutes down the street from Atlantic City, it allows you to enjoy a relaxing summer shore experience while still being close to all the action in both Atlantic City and Somers Point. Unfortunately, there are no hotels in this lovely little residential town so for lodging you will need to stay in Somers Point or one of the neighboring towns. There are a few summer rentals, but generally a month stay will be required. Many people stay somewhere close allowing them to still enjoy all the wonderful dining experiences and things to do in Margate City. Enjoy!
Ventnor City is a nice little community right next to Atlantic City. You may not even realize you left the city at first – it is only a few miles down the street from Atlantic City, but as you begin to see more homes and less “action” you will know you have entered this charming small town. During your time in Ventnor City you will find many small shops and restaurants tucked away on the main streets of Ventnor and Atlantic Avenue . When it comes to lodging you will find a few bed and breakfasts and hotels, as well as, a few summer rentals in which you can rent a home or condo for a month or more. A great way to enjoy a relaxing vacation at the beach, while only a cab ride away from all the Atlantic City action.
Atlantic City, America 's Favorite Playground is specifically known for its fantastic nightlife. Longport is a wonderful, quiet shore community in which you may relax on the serene beaches and let all the cares of the world drift away. Although there is less to do in Longport its location is spectacular! It is about fifteen minutes from Atlantic City and about five minutes from Somers Point and Ocean City . Visiting these neighboring towns will give you plenty of fun while letting you retreat back to the calm setting of Longport. Summer rentals are the only way to enjoy this town since there are no hotels, but most rentals will require at least a month stay. If you can take the time these rentals give you the convenience of having a comfortable home setting while still being on vacation.
Egg Harbor Township is actually an area that contains many towns within, however we have distinguish some towns separately (Linwood, Somers Point, Northfield and Pleasantville) in order to better explain such a large area. Any locations explained as Egg Harbor Township will be locations that are a little further inland, but include activities you may only find inland. Egg Harbor Township features several shopping centers, restaurants, hotels and sporting activities. It also features several beautiful golf courses and is located close to its neighboring shore communities. Atlantic City and Ocean City are about twenty minutes from the most inland areas of Egg Harbor Township .
Galloway

setting. The Forsythe National Wildlife
Refuge is almost 90 percent tidal salt
meadow and marsh, interspersed with shallow
coves and bays. These provide important
resting and feeding habitat for water birds.
Abundant marsh vegetation provides important
food and cover for many types of wildlife.
In addition, the Pinelands National Reserve
was our country's First National Reserve.
Absecon,
located about fifteen minutes outside
of Atlantic City, offers many hotels,
restaurants and shops on the way to the
city. Absecon is one of the oldest towns
in the Atlantic area and is involved
in regenerating their historical value.

Northfield Northfield is an active community approximately fifteen minutes from Margate City and Atlantic City. It is home to a variety of businesses featuring shopping, movies, games, restaurants and hotels, plus the Birch Grove Park and Wildlife Zoo and the Castro House and Northfield Museum . Northfield is also close to Egg Harbor Township and Mays Landing which lends itself to many golf and nature type activities. It is truly a town that is right in the middle of it all!
The City of Linwood is a suburban community located in Atlantic County, New Jersey . The city comprises an area of four square miles lying approximately nine miles to the west of Atlantic City and bounded by the municipalities of Northfield, Egg Harbor Township , and Somers Point.
Linwood is primarily a residential community with a relatively large proportion of its residents employed in professional services or executive positions in the city and its neighboring municipalities.
The city is widely known for African violets grown at Fischer Farms and orchids from Brighton Farms. The Linwood Convalescent Center, one of the largest facilities of its type in the state, is another major contributor to the city's economy.

Mays Landing is an inland town approximately
twenty-five minutes from Atlantic City
and is right on the way if you are traveling
from the Delaware Memorial Bridge . It

assets to this nice town, plus it still
